I had to intentionally lose some of my ranked matches near the end though cause I wanna finish the season on Diamond I rather than on Champion III for the reset to place me in "Gold I" and not on "Diamond III".

I wish I had done this. I'm in Diamond III and facing fully leveled max legendaries. I basically have no chance. I've stopped playing and am just going to wait till the max decks move up.
