Dear fellow steemians,
Allow me to introduce a couple examples of commonly displayed, but very different human behaviors (really just belief systems) that have the power to impact us in our every day lives.
Yes, that's a dog...a rather cute dog, but that look tho...am I right?
Have you ever been introduced to someone who was joyful and cheerful, and within minutes felt like you had known that person your whole life? Of course you have! We've all known people who we would describe as "happy". When they spoke they had passion, and we ALWAYS, ALWAYS gravitate towards enthusiasm and passion. It's in our DNA. People who operate in this manner have a certain zest for life, and it's highly contagious. Their eyes are bright and shining. A big welcoming smile is usually is plastered across their face. We like those people who we like. Really let that simple sentence set in for a moment. Ones like I've just described make you feel alive. We laugh and smile. We engage AND are incredibly engaging. Our emotions literally feed off of one another, and it's exhilarating. Isn't it? Thoughts and ideas are rapidly exchanged between those two people, and time, my gosh where did that time go? Let me ask you a question, how do you feel when you walk away from an encounter like that? Did it reshape the day for you? Could the weight of that meeting have made such an impact on you that it changed your perspective on the hour, day, week, or maybe, just maybe even your life? Could it have had the power to reshape your own destiny? Could that one moment in time have impacted you so greatly that you were going to CHOOSE to face each and every day differently than you had in the past? Better than you had in the past. In fact, it wouldn’t surprise me if digits (NOT CRYPTO) :) were exchanged during that encounter because you became so excited about the mere possibility of the next opportunity you could spend with that person. You simply formed a BELIEF system of how you are to feel about this individual based on his/her BELIEF system about themselves. Does that make sense? Do you see how a simple BELIEF can wield enormous amounts of power over our brains, our internal computer. We literally have the power to make the DECISION to become this way or any way in our interactions at our place of business, with strangers, and most importantly with our family and friends. The human brain is such a magnificent and powerful tool that it can literally create the very destiny that you CHOOSE for yourself. Yes. It. Can. But, YOU have to be willing to learn how to operate it in a direct and efficient manner to take the necessary steps to achieve all YOU want in this life. It can be done friends.
Now, let’s discuss the opposite type of behavior from the one described above. These people have been labelled and maybe rightly so, a negative Nancy or a woeful Willy. What corny and funny names. We've all known people like this, right? Haven't there been moments in your life when you’ve been introduced to someone like that? We’ve all had a conversation with a person who displayed very low energy, was filled with negativity, hung their head low, and mumbled their speech. These types of people often seem hopeless. Did you have a strong urge to continue to hang around and interact with this person, or were you anything like me and wanted to scream and run like hell in the opposite direction? Now, please don’t misunderstand me. I’m not saying you should disregard anyone's feelings, especially not a friend or family member who could be down in the dumps and having a bad day. You should reach out a helping hand to that person. I'm talking about habitual behavior over a period of time. People have to want to help themselves. I’m only providing a basic example of two very different but common types of behavior. I can tell you, or should I say warn you, that if you choose to spend a sizeable amount of your time, efforts, and resources with either of the above mentioned two, please choose wisely my friend. PLEASE. We usually become who we associate with. Help those brothers and sisters out with every ounce of energy you can muster, but at some point you MUST take stock of the situation and decide who's influencing who. Until next time my friends...I'm wishing you the best that this life can offer.
Now, that's a happy camper!! :)
