Curation is Everywhere

So how about this idea?

Hi everyone!

I shot this video today kinda' on impulse. I've been really delving into the different ways that curation can be used and it me thinking.

Curation from what I've seen is an incredible tool for fostering specific types of content and growing communities. Amazing examples of this can be seen practically everywhere, in fact there's a Steemit curation group for the specific part of the state that I live in. socalsteemit@socalsteemit are great, their contests are fun and their contributors post some pretty great stuff, and curation helps to facilitate this experience.

SO I'm grateful that it exists, and the more I think about it the more complex it seems to become. Its implications and applications seem immensely versatile and its a little hard to fathom at times. Now I wont go into any deep thoughts regarding the topic less it bore people to tears, I will explain one thing did peak my curiosity.

Is there a curation account that exists which targets high popularity creators?

I mean if content curation can spawn organic grass roots communities of content creators, why couldn't it also achieve the same thing for already established highly popular creators? At the very least it could entice them to make accounts here to be tipped for shout-outs, or something.

I imagine it would kind of... serve the purpose of being a peer funded marketing foundation designed to entice creators of high criteria over to steem. It could have content contests, giveaways or various other rewards for creators who perform well, etc etc. All the while they plug Steem and mirror/move their content over their followers are signing up.

My Friends

Has that been tried before?

I have been looking around and curation for the most part seems largely focused on grass roots organic growth, which is absolutely amazing. My mind likes to push these ideas sometimes and curation seems to accommodate pretty well.

Like I seem to always do, let me throw the topic at you.

Do you have any ideas about how curation could be enhanced or utilized in a certain way to benefit the platform?

I mean, besides the obvious ways it seems be being implemented. I guess bid-bots also are included in this topic

I'd love to know your thoughts!

Here's the link to my original video on bid bots! https://steemit.com/dtube/@johneyreacko/l5st4ayh
