In Matthew 13: 47-50, we find:

13:47 In the same way, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that, thrown into the sea, gathers all kinds of fish; 13:48 and once full, they take it to the shore; and sitting down, they pick up the good in baskets, and the bad they expel. 13:49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall go forth, and separate the wicked from among the just, 13:50 and shall cast them into the furnace of fire; There will be crying and gnashing of teeth.

Reflection: In this parable, Jesus speaks of the kingdom of heaven being similar to the activity of throwing the net into the sea to fish, and once it is full, he takes it out and approaches the seashore, and sitting down begins to gather the good Fish, and the bad guys throw them out of the basket, and then the parable says it will be at the end of the century, the angels will come out, separate the unjust and throw them into the furnace of fire. ; There will be crying and gnashing of teeth. Observe and note the similarity to the parable of the wheat and the tares in Matthew 13: 41-42 "The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather from his kingdom all who are an obstacle, and those who do it. and they will throw them into the furnace of fire, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. " This century referred to is the end of this century, the Bible speaks of two centuries (not 100 years), the present and the future, united by the second coming of Christ.

Jesus tells us that the net is thrown at all fish, there is no respect for people, we are all equally called to repentance and to be servants of Christ through the proclamation of the gospel, but in the end, the judge of the just and unjust , will give retribution according to the word that each one has heard while having an earthly life. The good fish are the righteous, who live according to the gospel of Christ, and the bad fish are those who reject the gospel.

If you read these lines before serving the Lord with passion and dedication, and you feel discouraged, remember your first love, believe in the gospel of Christ, it is time to reconcile with him, his kingdom will grow in the midst of wheat and the tares, the good and bad fish, and at the end of the century, only the righteous will have the great inheritance.
