My older sister went by the nickname of Mars in the 1990's in Oregon; she played basketball, did gymnastics; was on the dance team; attended Emmaus Christian School.

Travel the world.

My two sisters, Katie Jean Arnold & Crystal Ann Arnold, went on to travel the world; they lived in Portland, OR during the 2000's and then moved to New York City (NYC) around 2010. How could it get better than that?

Weird Al Music

Around 1994, Katie introduced me to Weird Al & Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. Katie had a kid's club. One day, a kid's dad knocked at our door, yelling, asking for the quarters, the club dues, back. Later on in the early 90's, that same house must have burnt to the ground or something.

I was born 1985-02-11, Monday, in February, in Forest Grove, just like Crystal in 1990-03-04, Sunday, in March. Katie was born 1980-06-24, Tuesday, in June. Ricky, 1982-02-05, Friday.

Forest Grove, OR | Katie's first birthday at our new house, our trailer home, space 163, in Rose Grove Mobile Home Park, AKA the ghetto.

1984-06-24 Sunday: Blowing out the candles

Katie wanted a baby sister, Crystal, but got me first, Joey, a baby brother, the next year in 1985, and didn't get a sister until 5 years after that on a Sunday, the 4th of March, 1990. Maybe, during Katie's 4th birthday, she wished for a sister. Maybe, she tried to run away when finding out she wasn't getting a sister in '85.

1985-06-04: cardboard house tent

Dad built this clubhouse fort for Ricky & Katie in our backyard at our house at space 163 in Forest Grove, OR. We had a weird wooden fence, too, at that time. Our 162 neighbors there, before Mike Vanderzanden moved in, probably had dogs just like the people who lived at 163 before us. We later had other sheds, club houses, tree houses, etc.
