In this video "CAVALIER OBD DATA 1996 - 2005" I (Joey) use a code reader to check the OBD data in Cavaliers and SunFires in the OBD2 (OBDII) era.
This is the same for any OBD2 GM J car, Cavalier or SunFire, before OBD2 in the OBD1 era there was a different code reader for the time before the more universal OBD2. Most cars in North America started using OBD2 in 1996, however a rare few started using it a few years earlier. The Cavalier and SunFire started using OBD2 in 1996.
It is a simple as plugging in the tool and turning the car's key to the run position.
