The NAM model on Friday night shows some showers ahead of the front but nothing that jumps off the page. To the south in the Bahamas there are some showers associated with a weak low moving northwestward. If this were 2 months from now the question of tropical development would be on the table but we are not in July, we are in early May. Some of that moisture will try and move northward over the weekend.
By Saturday morning the front will be to our south with a push of slightly cooler air behind it but it will likely only push temperatures back in the 70s. The upper air profile is rather on the flat side though there are two short wave troughs in the flow. The flow along the East Coast is west southwest which would argue against any of that Atlantic moisture from reaching here. More than likely it will get pushed out to the northeast in the west southwest flow.
My guess is that we will see clouds mixed with some sun both weekend days with temperatures in the 70s. Saturday will probably be a little warmer so toward the upper 70s to near 80 while Sunday will more than likely be cooler. As for any showers I'm thinking about leaving them out of the forecast for now.
