The rest of old Gordon moves in tomorrow and tomorrow night. Look for cloudy skies, humid weather, a continuation of the east wind, on and off rain, and highs in the low to mid 70's. Expect some tropical-enhanced lift tomorrow night with some heavier showers and rumbles of thunder possible.
Eyes turn to Hurricane Florence on Thursday to see what fringe effects she may begin to have. As of now, we could have one more tropical day in the mid 80's, but it all hangs on cloud-cover and wind direction.
As of this moment, we still have to be very vigilant about Hurricane Florence. There are no certainties as far as what effects she may have for the NYC area. While a landfall could potentially be devastating for areas well south of us (if that happens), we need to see how far north she goes and understand that we don't need a landfall here to see some issues. For those who missed this morning's full Florence update, you can click here to see what options we have as far as track.
This is why we need to watch very closely to see if or how Florence could impact us, whether it be tide, wind, wave, and or precip action. Stay tuned.
