Bottomline is Africa's leadership sucks, we need leaders with the interests of its people and land at heart.
I like that you mentioned Botswana, I have never been there but I am impressed by what I read about the use of its Diamond to better the country, the Pula is even stronger than Zar being 1.3 Pula to a South African Rand at present, Botswana is an example we need more African countries stepping up.

You mentioned the Western world, surely they are still controlling Africa and our leaders are okay with it, I don't understand why the Francophones are being subjected to using the CFA regionally, these countries could create their currency.

Africa's problem is deep yet simple, get good leadership in place and things will begin to look good.
