It is a habit having focus placed on All Time Highs, this way we get to measure and hope current year outperforms previous years price-wise. Naturally better performances is an expectation where money is a subject.
Hive is on its way to its third birthday since the fork, looking at the developments within the time frame of its existence, it is nothing short of impressive. Although with a myopic view some might think otherwise. How about a look at Hive's yearly lows since March 2020?
Above is a chart of Hive Between March 2020 to present from Coingecko
All Time Low for 2020 saw Hive dipped to $0.08 less than a month after the fork, I can't recall exactly how I felt then but I know I just can't wait to get my money out of STEEM. So Hive at $0.08 back then was the least of my worries.
Hive kicked off 2021 at 11 cent, a careful look had me spotting Hive at $0.115 1st of January 2021 to be precise which happens to be the All Time Low for that year equivalent to 0.00000398 BTC.
We are just halfway into 2022 and can't have an exact figure for the current year yet but we will have to settle for six month into the year and Friday 13th May saw Hive dipped to a $0.41 (0.00001438 BTC).
Therefore judging Hive by it's price action it is doing quite well. From All Time Low of $0.08 to current price calls for some optimism.
Hive at five years is going to be a complete different story for the better as developments continues. To assess the progress of a project it is at times good to look at its lowest performance over time.
