Something different from my usual mundane post on cryptocurrency & food. Recently been introduced to this game by a fellow steemian. As usual for gaming best to join the discord channel for insights and meet new minds online. The chief in graphic illustration posted a little contest in his post here
Some background, I am no graphics artist but I do like to draw to entertain my kids. Therefore, my drawings are usually childish in nature. Thus the contest encourages participant to come up with their own planet design and I took the challenge. Thanks to google translate, otherwise I've got to learn German in order to decipher his post.
Initially I thought of using GIMP but my linux machine is down for repairs, therefore resorted to use MSPaint. Unfortunately MS Paint wouldn't cut it due to it's rudimentary tools. Thank goodness Windows 10 has Paint3D, and that is the tool freely available.
Since is my first time decided to test the tool set and controls. Within first hour I ended up with this. Honestly I thought to myself, this was awesomely atrocious.
Then as hours progressed, I've decided to submit this as my entry. Hope this gets picked and I named it B'loonet. Started with a sphere 3d shape and filled the atmosphere using a spray can with variable density between 25 to 75 and opacity between 25% to 35%. The rest of the balloons were import from Microsoft 3D library template that I multiplied with multi select cut & paste. If you get to see the full image, I have also took the time to plant couple of Steem and Steemit logo onto some balloons.
Simple, kids love them and didn't I mentioned earlier my drawings are fairly childish in nature? By the way, if you would like to try out this strategy game go to NextColony here - with no referrals but strictly entertainment.
