Ed Sheran was in town last Saturday. It was generally a pleasant performance for a solo artist playing for two straight hours of medley with his guitars. I'm not really a fan of concerts as my last outing was seven (7) odd years ago in Bangkok for Lady Gaga. Therefore, any tips learned from then were forgotten which I'm consciously noting it & sharing it here, if is any useful.
Mr. Sheran and his rendition to the 2% of the audience.
These tips are specifically for Bukit Jalil National Stadium as the venue and may varies with other concert locations.
Tip#1, bring poncho or raincoat if you are heading to the standing section.
Tip#2, if decide to drive, put your vehicle at the park & ride facilities two to three LRT stations away.
Tip#3, don't bring water bottles and portable electric fans.
Tip#4, if you want to pick up better audio while recording with your smartphone, get an external microphone for your Android or iOS phone with stereo headjacks - example
Tip#5, wear comfortable shoes and attire, perhaps dri-fit material and trainers.
Tip#6, empty your bladder before entering the venue.
Tip#7, eat some food before heading to venue, otherwise prepare to pay premium for the same kind of food you can get couple of kilometers away.
Tip#8, limit the number of carry items to essential like sweat band or bandanna.
Tip#9, use SMS if network congested as is likely to happen so.
Tip#10, get seat tickets if you can't stand that long because is cheaper and you can rest.
There are better tips than these but I felt is better to blog it here for my future reference. Digress a little, Bukit Jalil National Stadium looks good, well maintained. However, if you have alternate advice, do share with me in the comments. If you were there, how was your experience?
Quite an amazing sight as seven years ago, not all smartphones has the ubiquitous LED torch.
