When I joined steemit a week ago. I was not very interested in the money making aspect of it all. I was drawn to the idea of another place where I could share my love for cruising. But then my 2nd post which was a cruise review, made $70 in under 24 hours and everything changed.
I started seeing dollar signs, I was daydreaming of paying off my mortgage in a year and other super outrageous ideas. But then I talked myself down to earth. I told myself to keep focused on why I was here. Which is to share about all the things I love and try to bring value, knowledge and maybe a little humor to this community.
So I made a deal with myself on the money side of things. If (when) I make 3x the amount of money it costs to get myself one of these little guys I will treat myself.

I love dogs and after dog-sitting a little Yorkie a few months back I have not stopped wanting one. But of course they are not cheap, and its hard to justify spending almost $1,000 on one. So I am challenging myself and if I work hard enough and come up with good content that speaks to enough people "he" will be my reward.
I would love to hear about what you are "steeming" towards? Big or small, materialistic or not.....what is your goal?
