If you have the budget the Maldives is perfect - but not one of the local islands. You need to head to a surf break that has a resort on it. I can recommend Pasta Point. Little bit pricey but the wave is just perfect and the resort is luxurious and serves booze (kinda important right). Have a look at Pasta Point on Google - let me know if it fits the bill.
