Macrophotography contests taking you up close and personal with a lens.

Being an amateur photographer (total amateur) I enjoy what was available in nature to photograph on the day, making this more enjoyable sharing and seeing others posts from around the world.

Life is what we make it, keeping original content on all posts means firing up the camera regularly taking you outdoors. No excuse to be behind a computer all day long, those short breaks throughout the day to keep you alert.

Macrophotography of the Gaudy Commodore Butterfly, not sure if it was the butterfly or the flower that led to this one, both equally alluring on presentation.

Gaudy Commodore Butterfly

Living on the coast, holidaying into remote areas where marine plants and life are protected always lovely to go exploring rock pools, finding exquisite clear pools to photograph. Waving under the water some of the delicate plant species, quite close in for macrophotography.

Rock Pool

My garden, having abandoned use of pesticides, favouring natural remedies some pink blooms to impress taken from underneath, petal veins, stamen and pollen all in dazzling pink, belly up macrophotography capturing the moment.

Pink Lily

Carry your camera whenever you go outdoors, important when cultivating creativity as a nature photographer, especially when you are not in the mood, around each corner something is waiting to be captured, making your content unique.
