Time to Heal!

Dipping into old photography to break monotony on how I feel, starting off with an iconic look of well How are You?

Two weeks lost from my normally healthy life, not sick enough to be in bed but sick enough to realize things were not right. It all started with a niggly spot on my hand, slight swelling on the collar bone and yippee two more spots just below that.

Don't be an Ass get to the Doctor....

Doctor's first impression was a Staph infection with cellulitis, "most probably picked up off of money", horror or horrors germ attack, yes a human is strong and healthy until an unseen, unknown little blighter enters. An avid hand-washer does question how this happens.

Medication prescribed was 500g Penicillin four times a day, effect knock your socks off, man down for over a week, the dosage totally overwhelming for someone who avoids antibiotics at all cost.

One week later I started to look like the pink panther with spots, yup lots of spots from top to toe, skin on fire with freezing chills all day long while sweating it out... Not a great place to be, my mind was already going on a walk about all on it's own, really a cotton head feeling!

Back to the Doctor

Doctor to one look, phoned/booked a Specialist Dermitologist for a second opion on the same day, 1 skin biopsy and 4 vials of blood later....

Personally I would rather keep company with the Big 5 rather than fighting infections you cannot see!

More antibiotics, and guess what? I still don't know what I got! Now the second round of another antibiotic, my head is slowly rising out from the deep foggy drugged turmoil, giving me an opportunity to try get this post up today.

Oh I started a post for #WednesdayWalk with @tattoodjay a non starter, onto #MarketFriday with @dswigle sorry Denise half way through the wheels fell off, I now have 2 started posts in the pipeline, hopefully a better run next week.

Yawning not allowed, seriously even a thick skinned Hippo hide would feel the side effects of these gremlins I am sure!

Having reached a point of sick of being sick lets pull our horns up and get slowly back up and running, hopefully return visit to Specialist on Monday (tommorow) will reveal all!

I am still very much here, supporting quietly over the last two weeks when I was unable to string a decent sentance together, enjoyed miles of smiles on everyones content, definitely took my mind away from my current events..

Not a hermit crab, but after this I do feel like a crab scurrying back to the sand and diving low to recover some more, not all the way there yet....

Highly contageous infection, a hand towel in the kitchen for continually washing hands is about the only area I had to be vigilant of using, not too much adjustment. Keep washing hands, using an occassional salt water rinse, wash my clothing separately then let the sun do the trick for drying.

Even the healthiest person won't see this type of infection coming at them. For once I am glad I listened to my son who did tell me not to be a stubborn old ass and visit the doctor quickly. Sorry I am stubborn, my strong belief is a doctor will find something wrong once you pass the 40 year mark, just seems something I have a thing about.

Thanks for visiting and reading, hope the animals made up for the boring tale of woe, sickness is not one of my strong points, I very seldom get sick so tend to overcook the whole event, I think I can count on one hand the number of times I have taken antibiotics, perhaps that is why I get so sick when I take them.
