Jordan (my son) came back home from El Salvador for Christmas, which was just the thing we all needed after 15 months of not seeing him.
While Jordan was in Surrey, Canada, he was training with his old team just to stay in shape, but unfortunately his foot got hurt pretty bad.
So the first thing we thought of was the park with the creek, near by our house where Jordan would do his grounding in the creek, which is better than just icing his foot.
So, after a few days of physiotherapy, which were helping a bit, we decided to take a walk in this winter season to the creak.
We love this place, even though we only came here in summer time. This was our first time coming here during wintet season and we are glad we came since the nature here is beautiful in summer and in winter.
I have not been in this park only once this year since Jordan left, with my other son, so I really enjoyed coming here with Jordan again to enjoy this peaceful, healing, gorgeous nature, plus you get a real workout hiking back up on your way back.
We are surrounded by this gorgeous nature all around.
We made it to the bottom, to the creak.
It's grounding time/healing time in the freezing winter mountain water.
I wasn't brave enough to do it with Jordan.
Jordan's foot was super red (you can't realky see how red it was on this picture) and super cold. He had to wait a bit to start walking back because his feet felt numb.
Time to hike back up those awesome wooden stairs. It's 200 stairs ( we counted last time while hiking up).
That was our awesome healing walk in this absolutely beautiful park. We came only twice here since Jordan was called back to El Salvador to play soccer way sooner than we expected. So the visit was shorter than we wanted, but we are super happy and excited for the awesome oportunity Jordan got to finally play in El Salvador.
Thank you for coming with us on this very special winter nature walk with us. Have a wonderful weeken everyone.
Love @joalvarez
