One of the reasons that I wanted to move to El Salvador and what I love about El Salvador, is that I can grow my own tropical fruits in my backyard and hopefully in our land/acreage soon.
I always wanted to have my own coconut trees, banana trees, mango trees and avocado trees and now I am enjoying all of these, which is a true blessing.
We have two different banana trees and a baby banana tree coming out of the ground.
I also want to plant more different tropical fruit, like pomegranates, orange, mandarin and lime trees, etc.
We also have anona tree, which I am so excited about, because this is going to be my first time eating our own anonas which I absolutely love.
We have two different kinds of anona trees.
We have 11 coconut trees, which we love mostly for the coconuts, but also for some shade in our backyard and I just love all the palm trees.
Here are our mangos, which we have been enjoying for a while now. The mango season is almost over but we still have quite few mangos on the tree.
We also planted some yucca/cassava, which is growing nice a big. Can't wait for it to be ready.
We also have a small plantain tree, which I am excited about. We had a plantain tree here in ouf backyard about 8 years ago and we tried the plantains only once from it and then the tree died, so hopefully this one makes it.
We also had quite few papaya trees 8 years ago, but the same thing happened. Some bug or fly that destroys these trees, destroyed the trees. Now I just need to get some papaya seeds and plant them again, but after the rain stops, since it has been raining too much for the last few days, which has destroyed a lot of corn farms.
This plantain tree we found all try and dead in a place where we go to throw all our greens/ garden garbadge out. So we are not quite sure what kind of plantain this tree is, since there are so many different kinds of banana trees, mango trees, avocado trees etc.
I also have quite few aloe vera plants, which I always wanted becausevI use it on my skin, on my hair and sometimes in drinks.
I need to transplant these aloe veras now that we took the chicken fence down and the aloe veras are in the middle of our yard. Plus, some of them are in not so good condition, because we were not here for 5 years to take care of it.
We also planted some tomatoes, cilantro and peppers in some pots. And we planted some corn too.
We also have avocado tree, where we enjoyed the absolute delicious avocados month ago, but the season finished, so we have to wait till next year.
I have so many seeds that I brought with me from Canada, now I just need to plant them, but I am slowly running out of room to plant. Hopefully we can get the land sooner than later, but we are still waiting for the beach to sell first.
