Blessings in health my beautiful people, it is a pleasure for me this feedback that exists between you and me. You can't imagine how pleasant it is to read you.

In this opportunity I want to share with you a family experience or rather a story of the purest love that exists, that of a mother for her child, which I hope will be of benefit. Very recently here in Venezuela the day of children with special conditions was celebrated, this is a somewhat delicate and controversial topic that moves the fibers of the family.

In my family we have two angels, that is to say two members with a special condition, they are different stories but they share a common feeling, the love they transmit to others. One is Diego Andres my godson, a boy who is already 9 years old, he is the sweetest and most affectionate that can exist, for his mother the most beautiful and great thing that God gave him.

She has had to cope practically alone with this situation, since her husband and father of Diego does not accept this condition and simply says he is spoiled, when I tell you that she has had a hard time it is so, at the time when Diego entered the school Diego had not yet noticed any symptoms of this condition, it was there where the teacher noticed some symptoms that Diego had and that differentiated him from other children.

At first the pediatrician told them no, that everything was totally fine, that it was an exaggeration of the teacher and well he told his mother what she wanted to hear like any mother, that everything was fine. Some time passed and the child did not advance at the same level or pace as the others.

I remember that at some point my sister was doing a postgraduate degree in education and among the things she had been taught was how to detect children with special conditions, she told me, "Diego totally fits the profile of an autistic child". We told his mother as tactfully as possible, remembering that it is a delicate subject and that she should not take it in a bad way, and her answer was "no, the pediatrician told me that everything was fine, thank you cousin".

Eventually the teacher insisted again; at this moment it was no longer possible to run away from reality, Diego Andres had a special condition, now my cousin had two situations, the first, the special condition of her son and the second, the negativity of the father for not accepting the situation of his son.

At some point they wanted to remove him from the school where he was studying, the teacher of the following year told them that she could not attend all the children and Diego, he was in a traditional education school, because he required a special education school. On the other hand, the psychopedagogist who was attending Diego said no, that he should socialize with other children and interact with them in order to find a more normal behavior for his age.

Assemblies, meetings and consultations were held for Diego's case, until it was decided to leave him in the school with the visit of his psychopedagogue to support the process. It is difficult for him to maintain a fluid conversation with others, but he responds quickly and correctly to questions.

I like to share a lot with him, always the first thing he gives you is a hug and a kiss, he is a child, playful. The truth is that he has filled our lives with joy, he is always happy, with a smile, ready to give you that sincere hug full of love, as we say, he is an angel in our family, for me a child like any other, I do not see that he is different.

On the other hand there is Jose Felix son of a cousin, I can simply tell you that he is extremely intelligent, he has a mild level of Asperger's, he is a 14 year old teenager, he has a girlfriend who according to him is madly in love; he draws very well. When I talk to him and tell him one of those joking jokes, he tells me "Uncle, remember that I have Asperger's and it is a little difficult for me to decipher the idea that you want to transmit during your story" and we laugh and continue talking.

His story was different from Diego's because his mother is a special education teacher and immediately detected that something strange was happening with Felito, she took him to a child neurologist and the diagnosis was made. There she began her dedication to her son with all her husband's support, diets, tests, therapies and everything that could help her son's life to be as normal as possible.

I do not want to end this story without first asking each and every one of the parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins and other relatives and friends of children with special conditions, that we all try to make their lives easier, to integrate them and that we achieve that our society opens a real space for them, where they can manage to develop on a daily basis and that we erase from our vocabulary the word normal or abnormal when referring to them.

I am speaking to you, father or mother, you have a wonderful gift from God in your house, I imagine how difficult this situation can be, I imagine the moments that you have cried alone, not because you have a child like that, but because perhaps you are afraid that It will happen, when you are not by his side, but I have good news for you, in the world there are people who are willing to forge a better future for everyone, where everyone has the same opportunities, is heard and treated with respect.

God bless you and free you from all evil and danger.
