I took a chance a couple of weeks ago and bought an embroidery card for my Singer Quantum xl 100 sewing machine. The reason that I was taking a chance is because I didn't know if it would be compatible with my machine or if it was made for the newer xl 1000 model. These embrouidery cartridges are rare because my machine was made in 1994 even though it sews very well. It is no longer supported by Singer and new cartridges are not being made any more for this machine.
This morning, I embroidered one of the designs on a small towel for my grandson who used to play soccer and learned a few skills in a soccer clinic before the pandemic.
The design stitched out very nicely. It took six different colors of thread and thirty five minutes to stitch out.
It came out so well that I now know that it would make a nice design for a shirt or jacket.
I try to choose something that will be usable but not expensive on the first run because if it does not turn out right then I will not have messed up a nice garment.
If it does turn out right, then the object can be used and it will not just be a waste of material if I use scrap fabric.
I am glad that I bought this cartridge. I will be able to get a lot of use out of these designs. I might re-hoop the towel and add my grandson’s name to it. I don’t want to over do it though. I’ll think about it.
