One of the challenges that we face with sheltering in place is neglecting to observe the beauty around us in our immediate surroundings. I was admiring one of my neighbors rose bushes and then I wondered how my own rose bush was doing in my back yard.
I was surprised that it was blooming just as nicely as my neighbor’s flowers. There is a lot of beauty around us if we take time to notice it. I needed a break from the news about coronavirus, deaths, businesses reopening, people that should still stay inside, etc.
Sometimes we need a break from bad news and we need to focus on something beautiful for a change. I chose to focus on nature today and some beautiful flowers and trees.
I hope that you find something pleasant to focus on today. Look around you, it’s lurking nearby.
