I started back embroidering gifts for friends and family. I chose to personalize a pool towel for a friend that has a swimming pool.
I personalized a towel just like this one for my niece last September. My friend saw my niece’s gift and really liked it. While re-creating the name on the towel, I forgot to move the name closer to the top of the towel. As a result, the name stitched out on a blue stripe instead of on the white yellow band.
You can barely see the name because the color of the thread is also blue.
I decided to enhance the design by adding a large R in that yellow space. It directs the eye to the name right below the yellow stripe.
I used my magnetic hoop with tear-away stabilizer on the back and water soluble stabilizer on the front.
I will get better once I start working with my machine more frequently.
