This morning, I had to go get some lab work done at a location that was close to the thrift store that I usually frequent. I had made up my mind that I was not going to buy anything because I spent all day yesterday going through items that I needed to discard or donate out of my house. Anyway, . . . I walked through the store and was proud of myself because my basket was empty. I went by the area that usually has craft items and I picked up a couple of things and put them back down. I kept saying to myself, "Where will you store this?" Yay!!! It worked! . . . Until I saw this small bag of double pointed knitting needles for $1!
I looked inside and there were 4 sets of four and 1 set of three. They even had some nice little tubes for storage. Well. One set of four was made out of bamboo and they were Takumi size 10 1/2 inches. How could I leave them there. I had been good and left some pink yarn with a pink baby blanket 95% finished for someone else. I felt like this steal had my name on it.
I had $1 and some change in my purse so I bought them. Sometimes you have to be smart and thrifty. I will definitely put these to use this year and they won't take up any unnecessary space since I already have a knitting bag.
Have a great day!
