With every step I take on the property, I discover new species [Esp/Eng].

Hello, my friends from this wonderful "Amazing Nature" community! It’s such a joy to meet again and share the beauty found in this fantastic place . What I love about this space is the variety of plants here; it allows me to learn a great deal and share information about them.

While walking, I noticed a plant; after looking it up online, I discovered that it is a plant that originates from the continent where I live—though it is actually quite well-known across much of the world. Its flowers are very attractive to butterflies. People often grow it as an ornamental plant, while others cultivate it for its healing properties.

It’s great that you’ve come across this plant—a very interesting one that originates from tropical regions. What’s fascinating about this beauty is its large family, which includes over 1,500 species; even more curious is that some of these species can be epiphytic. Isn’t that impressive? They are planted as ornamental additions to garden spaces; many people use them to highlight specific areas by combining the colors of their flowers.

It is incredible how, within the same area, the plant species you encounter can vary depending on the path you choose to take. An interesting fact about this plant concerns its origins; it is known to be native to Mexico and Central America—yet, as you can see, it has adapted very well to many parts of the world. In my city, people plant them as ornamental plants; it is common to see them marking a specific area or lining a path. In other countries, they are cultivated for the production of an alcoholic beverage.

One species I can never forget is this “plant”—it captivates you with the simplicity of its flowers. Considering its “origins,” I can’t help but wonder how it managed to get here—but I’m certainly glad it did. As is the case with many plants found in cities around the world, it goes by a different name in each place.
