Desde que mis padres se han separado, recuerdo que me ha encantado hacer profundas exploraciones en los bosques que teníamos en el barrio donde vivía. Allí hay muchísimas plantas silvestres ideales para hacer mis investigaciones ¨científicas¨: Desde niño me ha encantado aprender sobre las plantas y es la razón de que me apasione visitar este encantador espacio natural.
Ever since my parents separated, I have loved deeply exploring the woods in the neighborhood where I lived. There are so many wild plants there that are perfect for conducting my ¨scientific¨ investigations: I have loved learning about plants since I was a child, which is why I am so passionate about visiting this charming natural space.

Como siempre les menciono, la reserva en cada una de nuestras visitas nos está sorprendiendo; esta semana lo hizo con esta preciosa ¨planta¨: que tiene sus orígenes en ¨África¨: La mayoría de las personas las siembran para ¨ornamentar ¨: dar vida y color a un espacio en especial del jardín.
As I always mention, the nature reserve continues to surprise us during our visits; this week, it did so with this beautiful plant, which originates from Africa. Most people plant them for ornamental purposes—to bring life and color to a specific area of the garden.

Es así como pude dar con esta planta ¨silvestre¨: muy interesante. Tienen sus orígenes en ¨América¨-del-¨Sur¨: Si bien es verdad que en la reserva crece de manera silvestre, en muchas partes lo siembran como una planta ¨ornamental ¨: , además de todos sus atributos curativos, que es genial para tratar muchas afecciones.
That is how I came across this very interesting "wild" plant. It originates from South America; while it is true that it grows wild in the reserve, in many places it is cultivated as an ornamental plant—in addition to possessing healing properties that make it excellent for treating various ailments.
