It’s wonderful to connect with you all again in this fantastic "Feathered Friends Community". We’ve had some beautiful days this week; the upside of all the recent rain is that the trees are lush with foliage—though that did make it a bit challenging to capture shots for the "Show-Me-A-Photo-Contest".

I’m really pleased with the variety of bird species we’ve encountered; these specimens boast beautiful color combinations in their plumage. Fortunately, this makes them easier to spot when they land among the tree branches, as their vibrant colors help them stand out.

The same thing happened with this ¨species¨:  that is, thanks to its striking colors we could see the silhouette of the birds hidden among the branches of this beautiful tree. While I love the rains, if this keeps happening, it's going to be almost impossible to see the birds when they perch on the branches.

The last species are one of those ¨specimens: that usually look for their food among the grasses, and it was great that the grasses were fairly short; We could clearly see the presence of these beautiful birds.

Whenever we head out to the yard with our camera and get the chance to see beautiful species, we jump for joy. These are the things that keep us coming back, day after day, to spend time observing the behavior of birds.
