Discovering and learning the story of Grigio ("monomad" "challenge") [Esp/Eng].

Como están, mis amigos apasionados de esta genial ¨Black¨-¨And¨-¨White¨: . Esta semana nos dirigimos a un área del microcentro para hacer nuestro paseo ¨fotografico¨:  la idea era encontrar algo que llamara nuestra atención y fuera genial para esta consigna "monomad".

How are you doing, my friends who are passionate about this great "Black-and-White" community? This week, we headed to an area of the city center for our photowalk; the idea was to find something that caught our eye and would be perfect for the "Monomad" challenge.

Les vengo comentando que el mejor lugar para hacer nuestros paseos ¨fotograficos¨:  es la zona de la ¨costa¨: allí hay muchos rincones preciosos donde podemos descubrir algo interesante para fotografiar. Durante una caminata dimos con una propiedad que pertenece a un organismo de origen ¨religioso¨: 

I’ve been telling you that the best place for our photowalks is the waterfront area; there are many beautiful spots there where we can discover something interesting to photograph.

Esta ¨institucion¨:  tiene un edificio precioso con una arquitectura llamativa; es lo que hizo que nos acercáramos para hacerles algunas tomas. Fue entonces que descubrimos que en un lateral del frente se halla expuesta una estructura metálica con forma de animal. Tras investigar un poco en la web sobre el artista que ha creado la escultura metálica, pudimos comprobar que ha sido realizada por los propios alumnos de la institución y supervisada por los profesores a cargo de los talleres técnicos. Más allá de la estructura, que es llamativa, lo interesante es que se realizó con materiales reciclables.

This "institution" has a beautiful building with striking architecture; that is what drew us in to take some photos. It was then that we discovered an animal-shaped metal structure on display at the side of the building's front. After doing a little online research about the artist behind the metal sculpture, we found that it was created by the institution's own students under the supervision of teachers in charge of the technical workshops. Beyond the structure itself—which is eye-catching—what makes it interesting is that it was made using recyclable materials.

Siempre que veo algo interesante, tengo que saber todo sobre ello, y resulta que esta escultura representa a un ¨perro¨: que acompañaba a don ¨Bosco¨:  en sus peregrinaciones, sobre todo en lugares o situaciones que se podían poner peligrosas.

Whenever I see something interesting, I have to know everything about it; it turns out this sculpture depicts a dog that accompanied Don Bosco on his travels—especially in places or situations that could become dangerous.

Esta escultura representa a un perro llamado ¨Grigio¨: llamado así por su color. Lo cierto es que esta escultura metálica tiene un gran significado para la institución y hay toda una historia en su entorno; es la razón de que me resultara muy interesante para traerlo al ¨concurso¨:
