I have to admit that everytime the Steemmonsters team released a new update I am one of those people who are quick to complain about things and says that instead of improving the game they are making it worse.
Case in point was the time where they shifted the card reward system from rewarding BETA cards to 'Reward Edition' Cards. I really did thought at that time that no one will ever bother buying the reward edition cards but I guess I was proven wrong about that cause if one looks at the market, BETA and reward edition cards are not that far off in price.
Anyway, the latest update of the SteemMonsters team was it's own token community platform called Splintertalk.io with 'SPT' as it's currency/token. And I daresay that out of all the existing token community platform that have emerged this month, this one is by far what I consider the best one.
And no, it's not because I got ~117 SPT from my first post in there to which by my surprise has actually a decent market value and is even around 0.397 STEEM (more Steem Yayyyy!!!! XD I did power-up that 117SPT though), but because it's the only token platform so far that has a clear rule of what posts should be in there (obiously all about SteemMonsters related content).
It also helps that the DEC-staked upvote system gives a decent amount of SPT token once voted by the 
Truth be told I was a little disappointed (at first) after they announce that the steemmonsters discord bot would no longer work but after seeing how much upvote value my 5000DEC (to which I only got for a week of playing the game) get that disappointment was changed to satisfaction.
So yeah! I hope this continues for months. I also hope that the SteemMonsters team would not be lax and would still continue to add interesting stuffs that makes the game fun and more profitable to play. XDv
