Yesterday, Wednesday, the town awoke to one of those typical mornings that are jokingly called "it's about to rain, but it won't"... And by that I mean a hazy sky with a few gray clouds, a bit of a damp wind, and even a hint of petrichor that could be felt in the gardens and unpaved areas. But the truth was, just as the locals usually predict on these kinds of mornings, we had the feeling all day that a downpour was about to break out, but it never happened... But on days like this, the town "moves even slower," people seem cautious about starting their work, the light is flat, exquisitely even, as if a huge whitish neon spotlight were hanging over the entire town... And for me, this is perfect for taking street photos like these that I'm sharing with you today on #Hive, which I took precisely yesterday morning on that "it looked like it was about to rain, but it won't"...

El día de ayer Miércoles, el pueblo despertó teniendo una de esas típicas mañanas que aquí jocosamente denominan: "está por llover, pero no"... Y con esto me refiero a un cielo atoldado con algunas nubes grises, algo de viento húmedo e incluso cierto petricor que puede respirarse en los jardines y espacios con tierra sin pavimento. Pero lo cierto fue que, tal como los vecinos suelen predecir en este tipo de mañanas; todo el día estuvimos teniendo la sensación de que estaba por desparramarse un aguacero, pero esto nunca ocurrió... Pero es días así, el pueblo "se mueva aún más lento", las personas parecen estar cautas con respecto a iniciar sus labores, la luz es plana, exquisitamente pareja, como si un enorme reflector de neón blanquecino estuviese colgando sobre todo el pueblo... Y esto para mi entonces, es muy bueno para hacer fotos callejeras como estas que estoy compartiendo con ustedes hoy en #Hive, las cuales hice precisamente ayer durante la mañana de es Miércoles en el "parecía que estaba por llover, pero no"...

And yes, well, I think it shows and I can't deny it; this kind of weather also affects me in a subtle way, and perhaps my photos are sharper, more raw, more like a protest, as are the titles I put at the bottom of them... You already know me, you know how I do this street photography thing and how I can change from one day to the next; thank you so much for following me and understanding me...

Y sí, bueno, creo que se nota y no puedo negarlo; este tipo de clima también me afecta de una manera sutil, y quizás mis fotos son más cortantes, más crudas, más como para protestar por cosas, así como los títulos que coloco al pie de ellas... Ustedes ya me conocen, saben como hago esto de las fotografía callejera y como puedo cambiar de un día para el otro; gracias de verdad por seguirme y entenderme...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
