Today we had a beautifully sunny dawn here in town and after drinking a cup of coffee and eating a couple of slices of toast, I decided to go out into the streets with my camera in hand to wander and, very especially, to "take refuge" in that simple act of walking looking around to try to push away from my mind a bit of the sadness and fear that is felt after everything that has happened here... I am not going to deny that perhaps it is a bit of "a selfish act", but in truth I needed for myself "a bit of normality and not to think too much" as these days have been emotionally devastating. So I walked the streets, I observed the town a bit more quiet and lonely than usual, I looked at things, old windows, flying birds, backyards, but above all I looked at some dogs and cats in the neighborhood streets, because they are the ones who usually produce better feelings in me when I look at them and take photos. And this was like a parenthesis, like a space in which joy tried to peek out a little in me. And this helped me to keep moving forward today...

Hoy tuvimos un amanecer hermosamente soleado aquí en el pueblo y, después de beber una taza de café y comer un par de rebanadas de pan tostado, decidí salir a las calles con mi cámara en la mano a deambular y, muy especialmente, a "refugiarme" en ese simple acto de caminar mirando alrededor para procurar alejar un poco de mi mente la tristeza y el miedo que se siente luego de todo lo que ha ocurrido aquí... No voy a negar que quizás es un poco "un acto egoísta", pero en verdad necesitaba para mí "un poco de normalidad y de no pensar demasiado" pues estos días han sido emocionalmente devastadores. Así que caminé por las calles, observé el pueblo un poco más callado y solitario de lo habitual, miré cosas, viejas ventanas, aves volando, patios traseros, pero sobre todo miré algunos perros y gatos en las calles de los vecindarios, porque son ellos quienes suelen producirme mejores sensaciones cuando les miro y hago fotos. Y esto fue como un paréntesis, como un espacio en el que la alegría intentó asomarse un poco en mí. Y esto me sirvió para continuar adelante el día de hoy...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
