How impressive and beautiful architecture those typical Madeira houses have!... I don't remember having seen them before, thank you very much for sharing this excellent article accompanied by those magical photos... And what a lovely climate they had there that moment apparently!.. The most fascinating thing about this was looking at that wonderful roof made of plant materials!
I understand from what you wrote that these are reconstructions to show to tourists and I assumed that because of how new and pristine they look. However, the interesting thing about all this is the architecture of those houses, I imagine that it is a design to minimize the impacts of the climate and provide comfort to its inhabitants...
