Today I would like to talk about going wide in the dragon splinter. In my experience these cards are some of the most impactful that you can pick up for your dragon splinter deck.

Quix the Devious
As pictured above. Quix is a legendary dragon summoner. Quix debuffs your opponent's ranged attacks and their speed. As a legendary summoner, Quix is already maxed out for bronze at level 1 which is amazing when you can suddenly start to try level 3 commons, level 2 rares and level 2 epic monsters in your lineup.

Brighton Bloom

Brighton gives your whole team the flying ability which comes in clutch for the earthquake ruleset. All of your opponent's non-flying monsters take 2 damage each turn while yours just keep flying.

Djinn Chwala

The raw stats on Chwala are so good that this monster is great without anything, but the thorns ability is a great one to start out with. Play this monster when the mana cap is 12 and your opponent will have a hard time finding a way to beat you. Chwala makes a great tank or a great rear tank even without being able to attack.

Robo-Dragon Knight

Talk about a tank. This monster can take a real beating. If you have the budget to try this, it's well worthwhile even at level 1.

Other great dragon splinter cards to consider adding to your collection in no particular order include:
Camila Sungazer
Daria Dragonscale
Delwyn Dragonscale
Serpentine Mystic
Runic Skyclaw
Desert Dragon
Chaos Dragon
Void Dragon
Carnage Titan

When picking out new cards to buy or even rent, it's important to consider whether you'll be playing in modern or wild format. Some of the cards that I've mentioned are not options in the modern format. I left off most of the "ghost cards" because I expect that pretty much all of my readers will be familiar with these and almost all of them are worth playing on a fairly regular basis.

I would love to hear what some of your favorite cards are from the earth splinter and any stories about cards that seem to always beat you.

I hope this post has been helpful and informative. Thanks for reading and thanks for all the upvotes, reblogs, comments and follows. I'll see you in the game.
