~Her dam breaks~
A barrage of wetness floods throughout her.
Heart piercing with raw pain.
A sadness so intense it pierces through every cell.
A hurt so palpable it rips open the chambers of her heart.
Bleeding out the hurts, a savageness that rushes unapologetically throughout her core.
No remorse only intangible mercy as the hell releases from her being.
She weeps alone.
Silent sobs wrecking her so violently she grips her chest from the poignant compressions of the last remnants of the hurts being unravelled and released.
The tension builds and builds until she can no longer hold on to it any longer.
It's gripping pain cannot be contained.
She screams aloud in her plea for it to subside...but all she can do is let it be...
She surrenders.
Awakening to the distant sounds of mewling cries and soft hiccups...
She attempts to rise, but weak as a kitten she lays there staring up at the white ceiling.
In wonder...
Wonder for where is this sound coming from...
Wonder for why her limbs are heavy like led...
Wonder for why her body is laid across the cool floor...
Wonder for where she was...
Confused, she exhales.
Closing her depths of greens.
She feels it...
Trickling warmth streaming down her cheeks.
She hears it...
The echoing of soft gentle sobs.
She feels it...
Fingertips and limbs tingling.
Awakening.
Is it me she utters in her mind?
It is, it is me!
She gasps in shock...
She exhales in sweet relief...
It's over.
Weightless.
She feels a spaciousness inside her.
The soothing coolness of the floor supporting her.
The warm air surrounding her feels like it's wrapping her in a comforting embrace...
Again...she begins to weep silently...
Not for the hurt.
For the mercy,
For the grace of salvation.
She inhales deeply on every intake of air...
She does not move,
She doesn't want to miss a beat.
Aliveness.
She welcomes it into her core.
Remembering.
For what seems like the first time
In a long time...
She stirs awake.
Slowly rising up unsteadily,
Yet ready to embody life.
To embody herself,
Her truth.
Vulnerable.
No longer numb.
No longer shackled to her self made prison walls or entangled into the web of illusions.
Alive!
She doesn't know what will happen next...
Nor does she fear it.
She has gotten this far in life.
Rising above the depths of her despair too many times to count.
With that knowledge,
With that experience,
With her core of steel,
With her smile,
With her ever resilient spirit
She chose to come back alive.
To live in faith.
Trusting in life again,
Trusting in herself.
Trust that she can do it again if must.
That's the bridge she built by breaking her dam.
