Happy St. Patrick's Day Fellow HIVERS!
I was born and raised in New York and the diversity living, partying and working in the Big Apple allowed for everyone to partake in all the amazing cultural events and/or holidays there were with St. Patty's being one of the most electric times - I had a handful of Irish buddies who can drink most under the table and amazing folks to hang tough with.
So naturally, I'm pumped today and got that St, Patrick's themed workout done this morning and now getting some HIVE activity going before I start work for my employers and hopefully I can spread the energy throughout this amazing community and extra energy to those who bleed Irish green.
It's been way past a year now, that I've been active on HIVE and I am still trying to find my footing here and there. I'm still working on making sure I'm a contributor to the growth of this amazing blockchain, stay true to my CTP membership roots and maintain my goals in tact without sacrificing who I am.
HIVE allows me to be who I am and not be apologetic about it and that is refreshing. Not that I haven't been able to do that on the tradition off-chain marketing and social platforms, but it's very different from those mediums to be yourself and still be in a position to earn your way up with less bullshit.
I work hard to get folks to know the real me through my content. I'm not going to post award winning content. I always hope that the reader understands what I'm trying to convey, but to actually feel like they know and relate to me.
As an aspiring online marketer, we were provided with tools that you can do that; but back then as social media was becoming the powerhouse it eventually became; I had decided to step away from my dream to earn big online. That very thought of "earn big" - did me in.
My approach was that of most, who fail in the make money online arena and it all were for the same habits and mistakes that still plagues people and to a certain extent, I'm still trying to rid myself of some of those mistakes that haunt a bit.
I'm heading towards 56 years old in June and come at me, if you think I look my age or older:
Nah son, your boy right here feels 20 years younger; albeit with many nagging injuries from my 8 years of high intensity interval training sessions:
All this centers on the value of what certain hardcore decisions that one makes in their lives that spawns events to better your situation or at it's best impact, gives you the drive to act on what you want to do in life.
It's important for me to give credit to where credit is due for my own piece of mind. My CTP membership, my following @jongolson - for many years - and interacting with The CTP Swarm is crucial to my being on HIVE. No question. No doubt.
But between my walking away from online marketing, realizing that I was neglecting and in some cases, abusing it and my itch to go back into it years later; there were moments that created a sense of moving forward and not stagnating like I did previously.
I mean, it was inevitable; that my coming back would coincide with whatever Jon was doing. He was the person who left the biggest impression on me when I tried my hand at online marketing the first time and the ONLY PERSON I followed consistently when I wasn't in it at all.
But of course, for some stupid reason; I didn't do it right off the bat - my second time around. I went with some of the older programs that were still around and was familiar with the owners and trusted enough to start with what I knew opposed to jumping into what I was kind of leery about.
You see, I knew that Jon was into some crypto shit and like many; I was blind and deaf to the whole thing. This guaranteed that I would bypass the opportunity to learn more about the crypto stuff. Important to note, I was a free CLICK.TRACK.PROFIT for many years and still was during my time away.
But before I came to my senses, went all in on CTP by upgrading, becoming a member of HIVE and resurrecting my enterprise membership at LISTNERDS, I was building a subscriber's list and growing downlines through an ad site called FREE BUSINESS BUILDER and the owner saw me hustling to get folks on board and in a flash, was an upgraded member at all 5 of his mailers.
He gave me my own promo code and I used that to build my list even faster. So with a few hundred downline sign-ups at this sites and some consistent commissions coming in from him, that created a chain reaction; because from my subscribers list, folks were signing up to a handful of other programs I was involved in; so needless to say that was a winning formula for me. In all honestly this was in a span of a few months, that was the most encouraging.
There are few other programs and services I can say the same about during this time, but the investment of time and money, I put into Peter's sites was what reinforced my decision to get back into the marketing game the right one.
Of course, I still felt like I needed much more help to move forward further (not necessarily faster), but LONG-TERM...and going all in on what CTP was teaching folks was the best decision to date.
BY THE NUMBERS
I'm still chillin' at #1 on the ListNerds Richlist, as I approach the 2000 mark with @thisismylife and
