During our MOUNT DORA weekend where Tiffany and I participated in a RUNNING EVENT on Saturday (this was the 5K) and worked out under the orange lights on Sunday at the ORANGETHEORY FITNESS in Mount Dora, we also had her boys along and we made it family time by renting a room and visiting the downtown area at night to catch the holiday festivities and lights.
We did the same exact thing last year except that we didn't plan the night too well and found no parking, was hungry and never got to enjoy the town at night and decided to forego it and went further out to have dinner.
This year, we planned it out better and although we had to park further away to ensure we didn't miss visiting the spot, it worked out much better for us. We gave ourselves enough wiggle room to find this spot and oddly enough it wasn't a parking garage or lot. It was by a park about 13 minutes away from where all the fun was happening. Needless to say, between the 5K, all the walking and the HIIT workout; the weekend was very ACTIVE!
The funny thing is, Tiffa and I was already there (like last year) before 6:30am on Saturday, to pick up our race packets and the run was scheduled for 7:45am. That gave us time to enjoy the running event and holiday fun even before the sun came out. Different vibe though and the boys stood behind and slept like they did last year lol.
Of course, the events were different in the morning and at night. The morning was focusing on the running event where at night the whole town was a big gathering to celebrate the holiday vibe.
Getting to do the whole Light Up Mount Dora stroll was amazing and of course some photos to share with the HIVE and LikeTu communities.
