A few years ago I was one of the people who supported the idea of gun control in America. I read the statistics, saw the mass shootings covered on TV, and as a British citizen who has never been able to legally own a gun (I don't own a farm or take part in clay pigeon shooting), was very quick to dismiss the people who saw the 2nd amendment as something important.
Then September 11th 2001 happened and things started to change. The Patriot Act was passed and suddenly, out of nowhere new government agencies started to pop up with names like the The Department of Homeland Security, as well as many others.
Of course, the majority of Americans were quite happy that the Patriot act was passed and new agencies were being created to protect their 'Homeland' from danger. So what if they stomped on things like the 4th Amendement, Ben Franklin's quote was taken out of context anyway.
"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety"
It's taken 16 years to get to the point we are at now, 16 years of gradual militarisation of the police, 24 hour fear propaganda, false flag attacks and divide and rule tactics. We're at a point now where it is obvious to all but the most diehard patriots that something is seriously wrong in America, and it cannot be be fixed by Congress or anyone else in Government because the government has for some time been controlled by people who do not serve the best interests of the American people and in fact are acting against their interests.
As more Amercans wake up to this reality, I don't think it's a coincidence that the topic of gun control is becoming ever more popular. Thanks to regular false flag mass shootings coupled with a completely controlled media pushing a gun control narrative, the majority of Americans appear to now support some sort of change to the 2nd Amendment.
It doesn't seem to matter how many cases come to light exposing the criminality of the US government, (Operation Fast and Furious immediately springs to mind but there are many, many more) people seem unable to accept that their beloved government and law enforcement agencies are anything other than a force for good.
The recent shooting in Las Vegas appears to be another example of a false flag attack but don't take my word for it, look into it for yourself. Start off by checking the information put together by people like and others on Steemit and work from there.
It's quite amazing how easy it is to get people to accept a narrative without question. If it's being covered constantly and consistently by the (controlled) mainstream media and they keep repeating the same story using phrases like "Lone Wolf" while discussing endlessly the motives of the 'lone wolf killer' (it was definately him, he did it on his own and that's it !!!!) most people will not question it. Even if you provide them with evidence of prior instances when there has been a concerted effort by governments and their agencies to propogate outright lies to cover things up, they still say things like "not everything is a conspiracy".
So, if you ask me today whether I think the 2nd amendment should be scrapped or changed, not only do I say, "Absolutely not", I think that any American who supports gun control and especially gun confiscation is either foolish or naive and has no idea what is happening in their own country.
I would in fact go further and say that if I could buy a gun in the UK I would do so. Not because I am fearful of robbers or thieves, but because I can see what is happening and I fear the unchecked power of the state. If the only people with guns are the army and police, you had better be pretty sure they are working for you and not the deep state or the scum who control the world.
I personally, am not convinced.
