I've only just really started shooting people, and managed to talk my daughter into a little bit of a photo session - this was done in natural light using the monochrome setting on my canon eos 700d with a 75-300mm lens ... I know I have a lot of practising to do, and this is certainly close up, but could anyone get me some techniques for getting good portrait photos, I can't afford to buy a new lens at the moment, although I can see that a lot of people use a 50mm so think I should be saving up to get one of those. These as yet have been unedited, she needs darkening a little as she is so blooming white!
