The CNA position is so down played by the community. Meanwhile I'm holding your grandmother while she cries on my shoulder because her family won't come visit her. Meanwhile I'm caring for your grandfathers personal needs because he is incapable of doing so his self anymore. Meanwhile I'm holding your moms hand and combing her hair out her face because she's scared to die, but she knows her last breath could be any second. We feed, we bathe, we comfort, & we develop personal relationships with people we would have never known unless they needed us. Its so hard to be depended on by one person, LET ALONE multiple people at once. It's a demanding & emotional job. But I do it, I'm not ashamed of doing it & I do it well.
