My motivation for writing this post
Me han inspirados cuatro razones básicas:
- A esas personitas especiales que ven hilos o algo tejido y se recuerdan de mí, eso me hace tan feliz
- Para aquellos que dicen que gasto mucho dinero en comprar hilos y accesorios de tejido.
- Para quienes dicen que me estoy volviendo adicta al tejido y a todo lo que esté relacionado con las labores de agujas.
- Y uds. mis compañeros artistas de esta maravillosa y creativa comunidad #NeedlWorkMonday, que valoran y aprecian mis contenidos.
Cada una de esas personas que se me acercan y disfrutan mis creaciones, y a otros, que es un grupo menor les parece una adicción, aprovecho esta ocasión para agradecer cada uno de los comentarios porque ellos llevan mi arte al sitio donde se encuentra en este momento, en ese sitio donde yo he decidido tenerlo, en mi corazón.
I have been inspired by four basic reasons:
- those special little people who see yarns or something knitted and remember me, that makes me so happy.
- To those who say I spend a lot of money buying yarn and knitting accessories.
- For those who say I'm getting addicted to knitting and anything related to needlework.
- And you, my fellow artists in this wonderful and creative #NeedlWorkMonday community, who value and appreciate my content.
Each one of those people who approach me and enjoy my creations, and to others, which is a smaller group it seems like an addiction, I take this opportunity to thank each of the comments because they bring my art to the place where it is right now, in that place where I have decided to have it, in my heart.

Me encanta ir a una mercería a comprar hilos, siempre hay un hilo nuevo o un color que no tengo. Me gusta tejer por inspiración, e ir recreando lo que voy imaginado, por ello tener una variedad de hilos en cuanto a color y tipo, para mí, es fundamental y totalmente inspirador.
Puedo durar horas en una mercería, escogiendo, viendo los nuevos materiales, preguntando sobre cualquier características de algún material que no conozca. Es fascinante, ya que se hacen inmediatamente amistades en la mercería y comienzo a intercambiar conocimientos y experiencias con otras compañeras artistas.
Por citar un ejemplo porque para mí es tan valioso comprar tantos hilos, resulta que me doy cuenta que en pocos días será el cumpleaños una amiga o me hacen un encargo de un amigurrumis, a partir de ese momento se activa mi imaginación voy a mi estante y tomo los hilos que necesito para materializar lo que he maginado o simplemente lo que he visto en algunas de las redes sociales.
I love going to a haberdashery to buy yarns, there is always a new yarn or a color that I don't have. I like to knit for inspiration, and to recreate what I am imagining, so having a variety of yarns in terms of color and type, for me, is fundamental and totally inspiring.
I can spend hours in a haberdashery, choosing, looking at new materials, asking about any characteristics of a material I don't know. It is fascinating, as friendships are immediately made in the haberdashery and I begin to exchange knowledge and experiences with fellow artists.
To cite an example because it is so valuable for me to buy so many yarns, it happens that I realize that in a few days it will be the birthday of a friend or I get an order from a amigurrumis, from that moment my imagination is activated, I go to my shelf and take the yarns I need to materialize what I have imagined or simply what I have seen in some of the social networks.

Tengo una mente muy activa, yo diría que exageradamente activa, uno de los beneficios maravillosos del tejido es que me ayuda a calmar mi mente, a darle enfoque en un solo punto y a vivir en el presente. En ocasiones, mientras tejo y por momentos me detengo, la mente vuelve a volar a miles de sitios, uno de esos vuelos es imaginar algún proyecto que quiera hacer, inmediatamente me voy a los hilos que necesitaría, allí me doy cuenta que me falta algún hilo, y anoto, voy haciendo una lista de lo que voy necesitando para cuando vaya de compras de lanas comprar lo que necesito.
Las lanas nunca son suficientes, creo que necesito más lanas de la cantidad de estrellas que existen en el firmamento o de la cantidad de olas que existen en el mar o de cantidad de sonrisas que existen o puedan existir.
I have a very active mind, I would say exaggeratedly active, one of the wonderful benefits of knitting is that it helps me to calm my mind, to give it focus on a single point and to live in the present. Sometimes, while I am knitting and at times I stop, my mind flies to thousands of places, one of those flights is to imagine some project I want to do, I immediately go to the yarns I would need, there I realize that I am missing some yarn, and I write down, I make a list of what I need so when I go shopping for wool I can buy what I need.
The yarns are never enough, I think I need more yarns than the number of stars that exist in the sky or the number of waves that exist in the sea or the number of smiles that exist or may exist.

Para mí, tejer es una absoluta y maravillosa bendición, que agradezco a Dios infinitamente de permitirme explorar y mejorar cada día esta habilidad, habilidad que cada día suma más a mi vida.
Aunque efectivamente con estos dos instrumentos, como lo son las lanas y los ganchillos a ritmo de mis manos voy entrelazando hilos a través de diversas puntadas logrando materializar un resultado.
Este entrelazar de hilos, va más allá de un simple resultado que puedo lucir o regalar a alguien, se traduce en calma, en salud, en bienestar, en entrega, en enfoque, en vivir en el presente, en aprendizaje continuo, en autoestima, en confianza en si mismo, entre otros.
Definitivamente, es incuantificable la alegría y el bienestar que se deriva, que derivo, que obtengo, que disfruto de entrelazar lanas.
For me, knitting is an absolute and wonderful blessing that I thank God infinitely for allowing me to explore and improve this skill every day, a skill that every day adds more to my life.
Although effectively with these two instruments, such as wool and crochet hooks, at the rhythm of my hands I intertwine threads through different stitches achieving a result.
This intertwining of threads goes beyond a simple result that I can show off or give to someone, it translates into calm, health, well-being, surrender, focus, living in the present, continuous learning, self-esteem, self-confidence, among others.
Definitely, it is unquantifiable the joy and wellbeing that I derive, that I obtain, that I enjoy from intertwining wool.
Si tienes una habilidad que te otorgue disfrute, tranquilidad y mucho enfoque, trata de desarrollarla, de volverla parte de ti, y te aseguro que tu vida será más tranquila. Ahora bien, sino has identificado esa habilidad, búscala, seguro que tienes una.
