Nobody Is Too Busy, It’s Just A Matter Of Priority.
Own Reflection
Seeing this made me think of myself few weeks ago.
I have been really busy recently. It’s one of the busiest period throughout my training year, with tons of paperwork, endless assessments, research meeting deadline soon and piles of logbooks to fill up. On top of that, festive season Chinese New Year was just around the corner. The workloads and stress even made me thought of working overtime on Chinese New Year eve despite that every Chinese will have reunion dinner that day. For your information, reunion dinner during CNY eve is very often considered as the most important get-together meal throughout the year. If you realized how important is a reunion dinner to Chinese, you can imagine how stress I was that day. LOL (It was partly because I tend to be easily get overwhelmed by heavy workload.)
My Priorities at the Moment
I would almost definitely said that family is my top priorities at the moment, followed by relationship and friendships, then my third priority is work. (Of course, Steemit is part of my priorities now LOL). However, I have devoted most of my daily energy and time on my work. I spent the least amount of time with my family. Deep down inside, I’m aware of the importance of spending time to strengthen the connections with my family members. However, it is easier said than done. I will keep telling myself that after I done my current task, I will have time to really prioritize my priorities. But it never (or yet to) come true. I am only getting busier and busier as day goes.
My Short-Term Goal
Nevertheless, I will still try my very best to manage my time effectively and proportionately according to my priorities. The priority matrix is the next thing I want to inculcate in my daily life. I have seen this priority matrix a couple of times but never really practice it. It is one of the life lesson that everyone should learn.
