Hello Hive Music Lovers. This is another beautiful Tuesday where we get to share tunes that we love or reflect on with the world. This movement originated by @ablaze. For those of us that would love to participate in this movement. Here are the words from him.
The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I’m going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I’ll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #ttt or #threetunetuesday tags that would be great. It’ll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You’ll also be in with a chance of winning the prize – more on that later.
Let’s support our dear @ablaze who has made this whole movement possible.
Now, to this week’s entry.
I have all my songs carefully categorized in my phone. From Gospel, to Kpop and to songs I generally vibe with. And so, while listening to the songs from this folder. I got to listen to songs from a renowned man. I don’t there’s anyone from an understandable age that won’t remember this man and his legendary music.
And I suppose the banner was a dead giveaway, so without much ado, I present to you three of my favourites from a man we all knew and whose music we deeply appreciated. Michael Jackson.
I won’t get into much of his bio that we already know so, I’ll skip to the part that we would all appreciate.
First on the list,
You Are Not Alone
This is an R&B Ballad released on the 15th of August, 1995. A soulful song whose words are clearly in the lyrics, saying simply “You are not alone, I am here with you….” It’s no secret that it’s a love song. A promise to this person that he would always be there, no matter how far the person is from him. You could close your eyes and bob your head to this song while letting reminisces or fantasies take hold of you. (Yeah, I enjoy songs like that.)
The next on the list is,
Speechless
This song was released on the 21st of June, 2001. Genre being Neo-soul and Gospel. One of the beautiful memories I have of this song is entering the sitting room and seeing my parents sway wonderfully to this music. I was about six years old and I’ve never forgotten it. Seeing their glowing faces as they danced to it brought me such happiness to me. And I crept away, smiling. I don’t know what could bring about such soulful dancing but I fell in love with that song that day. It’s beautiful and soulful and you would enjoy it.
And last but not least,
This song, released on the 23rd of November, 1992, is my all-time favourite of Jackson. Its genre is Contemporary R&B and Pop soul. There’s this ethereal beauty to this song that stems not just from the rhythm but mainly from the lyrics. If there was ever a song that centred the most on empathy and the wonders of just being humane, it’s Heal The World. A clarion call to everyone to make this world a better place since we’re all living in it. And the fact that like it or not, we are all brothers(family). I remember crying many times I listened to it. It’s just that impactful.
One thing, I’ve always loved about Michael’s music is his avid attention to lyrics. His lyrics are beautiful and meaningful and speak deeply to people who value songs like that.
I would love to hear your comments and possibly your favourite songs of Michael Jackson if you’d like. Otherwise, you could just leave feedback on how much you enjoyed the songs. Thanks for taking the time to be here.❤️
