Our time here in this world is not in our hands, you can die now while reading this or something else or maybe tomorrow or maybe this day without you waking up after you sleep. There's a lot of possibilities on how we will die and we can't predict what time it is.
Death is just beside us as our twin no matter where we go, anytime it can whisper into our ears that it's our time already. Isn't amazing when that's how it works wherein death can warn us about our end? But it's not, it will come suddenly without a warning, unless you're suffering from serious illness and the doctors estimate your life.
It's been 10 months already since we lost my grandfather and time really flies fast that only two months left before his death anniversary. And I can say that the wound is still fresh but the progress is that it's healing slowly.
His passing away is so sudden. He didn't wake up again after he sleep. When I touch him to wake up, he's cold already.
It affects us greatly especially my grandmother and father, all us, his family to be honest. My grandmother was unable to eat for how many days, she lose a lot of weight because of that and with that she's prone to sickness such as cold and fever. It seems that her body and mind just totally gave up because of what happened.
The same scenario happened to me since I was the one who discovered him in that state. My energy in performing tasks such as cutting firewoods, repairing the house, working in the field suddenly went down also. But with the advices of some people here in our place, we were able to passed that obstacle.
My grandmother recover her appetite and she's regaining the body she had before my grandpa died. I'm happy about her and for myself also. I didn't leave her side, reminding her to be strong for us who are still alive with her.
I'm always clinging to fact that God has a plan for everything why it happened in the first place. I'm always reminding myself that everytime I remember the exact scenario that happened that day. With that self motivation that I did, so far my mental state and together with my family here is coming back to life once again.
The hope in our hearts has been lit once again and I'm happy to see a lot of improvements. I'm sure my grandpa is happy also that we are able to slowly accept what happened to him.
The sadness in our hearts is really heavy and thick but with the constant advices that we give to each other, we were able to break down the wall and began to smile once again.
It's not really easy to forget and burry what happened but so far we are doing pretty good. I'm sure that with another years to pass by, one day we can fully accept it.
Life is not that cruel afterall. It will always give us a trial that we can get through no matter how tough it is. It will make ways for us to be alligned to the right path we must take.
Doubt may show because of these loss in our life but that's how it works. Someone will passed away and someone will be born. It's a cycle we can never stop.
That's for my weekend entry for this day and I hope that you still love the life we have even if sometimes it brings us in deep sorrow.
