Horror cabinet transformation with cold paint and "zectangle" technique
This is the final result. It was so much fun.
This is our friend.. before the makeover
First layer of paint. This is the base.
Ok I change my mind a lot (trust in the process 馃檯)
I took my time with my zectangle doodles
Before the zectangle technique
All done!
I tell you, about 3 years ago I reluctantly bought this shelf because I needed space for my things for $10, oh, how ugly! 馃槀. ! It's a good wooden shelf, but horrendous painted and varnished and to top it off with rattan old fashion. !
But I said to myself, uhm... Someday I'm going to fix it! And the inspiration came.
These were the materials I used:
. Cold paint
. brushes
. black marker
. A glass of water
. White glue
. A cloth or rag
The first step is to create a base, the ideal is to sand it, but I didn't, I applied 3 coats of white paint on all sides.
Once dry, I decided on the colors and designs. I applied several layers of colors and at the end I used the "zectangle" technique on 2 drawers. To seal and shine, I applied white glue and let it dry.
Obviously the water would damage this work, if you want to do something like this, do it with a piece of furniture that is not used daily, otherwise, apply carpentry varnish.
