Isreal created Hamas to undermine the PLO. It undermined secularism in Palestine with totalitarian Islamic extremism, the very same thing it decries. Israel created it's own source of peril that threatens both Israelis and Palestinians. Israel turned a fringe group of Palestinian Islamists in the late 1970s into one of the world’s most notorious militant groups.
