Here are some of the lessons learnt during the prayer meeting in zoom on May 25th 2021.
During the meeting, our brother encouraged the need to utilize our gifts given to us as christians by God to work for the good of God’s kingdom, if we do otherwise, we bear the risk of loosing our salvation and our place in the sight of God.
Matthew 25:26 But his master answered him, 'You wicked and slothful servant!
The above passage is talking about the Master and His servants, who He gifted talents to, and expected them to work and produce more but one out of them buried his talent and refused to multiply it, the master called him “wicked and slothful”.
Only those who are diligent in their works are prosperous, to be diligent in working is a virtue that all christians is expected to have in order to gain grounds in the kingdom of God.
Proverbs 10:4 A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.
It is important to grow our faith through the works of our hands because faith without work is dead according to Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
As christians, it is important we encourage ourselves to be diligent in our works and constantly seeking the face of God for guidance because we cannot do anything by our own power.
