Good day everyone, these are my opinions from the teachings of brother Eli on baptism, Baptism is very essential for salvation, because it was water that saved noah and his family from destruction, God used water to wipe out corruption during the time of Noah.
1 peter 3:20-21 to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently(A) in the days of Noah while the ark was being built.(B) In it only a few people, eight in all,(C) were saved(D) through water, 21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you(E) also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience(F) toward God.[a] It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Most people have the idea that you need to go to river Jordan and only there can you be baptized, but brother Eli showed that this is a wrong conception of baptism because in the case of Philip ministering to the Eunuch, he baptized him in a river that was close not needing to go to Jordan.
Acts 8:36 As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, “Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?.
This shows us that baptism can be done in any body of water as brother Eli puts it. It is not biblical nor is it intelligent to say River Jordan is the only place to get baptized, even John the baptist baptized people in other rivers. John 3:23 Now John(AI) also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of water, and people were coming and being baptized.
