Theses are some of the highlights i got from the Bible exposition that took place in youtube 17th of May 2021. In case you are wondering, Bible Exposition is a service where we learn more from questions been asked by different people from different parts of the world.
During the service, a sister asked brother Eli, what is the main ideology of Christians. Brother Eli answered saying the main idea is the Gospel, believing in the Gospel which is the good news, all christians have one faith, one spirit and one soul. The faith of christians is based on the gospel of Christ in the Bible, outside the Bible, christians do not entertain philosophies, ideologies, etc.1 Corinthians 2:4-5 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words,(A) but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,(B) 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.
From the above verse we can see clearly that, our faith as christians is not based on human wisdom, but on Christ the power of God. Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
Another sister asked, If a member of the church of God does not attend gatherings, will they be expelled? And what is the law of business according to the Bible.
Brother Eli said, in the case of business, you do business to make profit and not to run at loss, that doesn’t mean you should cheat your fellow brother.
He went further to talk about the gathering of the brethren, saying if you are intentionally not attending, then it’s wrong because many blessings of the Lord are in the gathering, If a Christian gather and they pray God will forgive, there is also brotherly love amongst gathering just as the disciples displayed. Hebrew 10:24-25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,(A) 25 not giving up meeting together,(B) as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another(C)—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
