It's nice to see that she has given you a decent amount of control and she has trust in you. I hope you are successful with that, and I think that is the way with most content creation. Getting noticed by a big fish can help you skyrocket, but I still think that the underlying work underneath still has to be good quality otherwise people won't stick around.
