If Ego is an issue, I suggest getting some instruments. As you get more instruments, the corresponding music lessons also give you more skill points. For example, guitar lessons give me something like 24 to 47 skill points or something like that. The other music lessons give me less so I focus on that.

As for energy, I suggest a "Cold Pizza" slice card that you can buy with 10k starbits. It guarantees you a full bar of energy every 24 hours. I have 4 Cold PIzzas and 5 pizza boxes and haven't run out of energy in a few weeks so far.
