It's been a while.
In one of my last blog post, I shared a story that claimed Coinbase & Gdax will not be supporting Bitcoin after the fork. This turns out to be slightly untrue, it seems they will be supporting Bitcoin, but most likely not the new Bitcoin Cash (BCC/BCH) or whatever the abbreviation will be.I believe wallets will be credited with a certain amount of BitcoinCash relative to the amount of Bitcoin one owns at the time of the fork (August 1st). Coinbase & Gdax will continue to oppose BitcoinCash and will not be distributing it to its customers come August 1st. Many say the exchange will be keeping the sum for themselves as the exchange owns the private keys. This means that you should still withdraw your Bitcoin from either of those two exchanges to an external wallet if you wish to be credited with BitcoinCash. Although keep in mind, Coinbase states they are experiencing very slow transaction times. So be quick!
